Hach's Answers to Wastewater Challenges.
Part VII: Monitoring the Collection System

Thu, Oct 5, 2023 10:00 AM CEST

Summary:

Hach® would like to introduce the seventh episode of our webinar series focusing on wastewater challenges.

After addressing the challenges of sludge handling, effluent monitoring, basic parameters, wastewater challenges and protecting the WWTP, we will now examine the monitoring of collection systems.

Duration: 1 hour

Agenda

During this one hour webinar we will cover two main topics:

1. The monitoring of pollution in sewerage systems, ensuring monitoring is as close as possible to pollution sources, diagnosing hazardous or unexpected discharges, and quantifying the pollution risk of direct discharges to the environment in case of sewer overflows.

2. The monitoring of H2S in the liquid or gas phase to better assess corrosion risks, protect assets, prevent odor complaints and optimize chemical dosing when mitigation strategies are in place.

Live Q&A follows.

The webinar will cover measurement technologies available to ensure reliable data collection in this complex environment for specific parameters (such as organics, solids, hydrogen sulfide ...) non-specific parameters (such as pH, conductivity, ORP ...) In addition we will examine concrete applications and benefits for sewerage system monitoring, covering all existing solutions to improve knowledge of what is happening in the collection system.
