Dear Valued Business Partner,

As we continue to monitor the impact of Coronavirus across our global and local footprint, I want to provide a status update on the virus’ impact on Hach’s business.

You have trusted us to deliver the critical reagents, analytical instruments and software solutions that keep your facility running, and I want to assure you that you can continue to rely on us to deliver, even in these challenging times.

As a global business, we maintain a business continuity plan for all manufacturing sites. Across our end-to-end supply chain, we plan inventory for normal demand while also maintaining buffer stock for our high-turn items. We also maintain buffer stock for many of our raw materials to ensure we are not impacted by supplier issues. Overall, we expect minimal disruption in product delivery to our customers.

Hach has the benefit of a strong global and local infrastructure, which we can draw upon to establish alternative sourcing and manufacturing redundancies to reduce potential production or delivery delays.

Protecting Customer and Associate Safety
To protect the health and well-being of our associates and their families, and to help prevent the further spread of the virus, we are following the guidelines provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization on preventative measures such as social distancing, increasing access to hygienic supplies and personal protective equipment, and increased disinfection and cleaning regimens within our facilities.

We have also significantly reduced the amount of travel that is occurring, both domestically and internationally, as well as limiting the size of in-person events and encouraging increased levels of telecommuting.

Additionally, any Associate either exhibiting symptoms of infection or having been exposed to an individual who is confirmed as positive case, is being required to immediately notify health officials for additional guidance and to self-quarantine off-site. In the event an associate is unable to work due to illness or quarantine, contingency plans have been developed to enable others to carry out that work in their absence.

Production and Service Mitigation Plans
Our mitigation plans include pooling stock through our global network and working with downstream channel partners and upstream distributors to secure stock available in the end-to-end chain. Hach presently has manufacturing sites in the American, European and Asian continents, with some of our larger volume items having redundant manufacturing sites. Additionally, we work with a broad base of global suppliers, allowing us to work through raw materials supply constraints.

Our Service teams are ready to continue to provide the high-quality support you expect, by visiting customers at their sites while adhering to all local, regional, and national travel restrictions. In the event that Hach is unable to perform Service onsite, we are well prepared to support you with regional Technical Support teams and Central Service Centers.

Future Communication
In special instances where we expect a significant delay in delivering products, you can expect to be notified by your Hach Sales or Customer Service Representative. If we can support you in any way, please do not hesitate to call or get in touch by email.

Thank you for your continued business and partnership,

Hermes González-Bello
President, Hach
