Ty Hendrickson serves as the Director of North America Field Service for Hach Company, which has been providing water analytical capabilities to customers since 1933. Hach makes water analysis better—faster, simpler, greener and more informative—via unsurpassed customer partnerships, the most knowledgeable experts, and reliable, easy-to-use products. Ty has been responsible for adapting Hach’s global service delivery to meet marine customers’ needs for remote technical support, field service instrument calibration, preventative maintenance, and repair at port and at sea, and factory bench repair and calibration. Prior to joining Hach in 2010, Ty received his BS and MS from Utah State University, and served as a global service manager in the oil refinery sector.
Jeremy Lowe is an experienced project management professional with proven experience in guiding teams towards delivering complex projects. He serves as the Global Marine Program Manager at Hach, working across the marine portfolio to develop effective strategies in the sector. Jeremy previously held several management positions in the UK water industry and offers a depth of experience in a wide range of organisational structures. Jeremy earned his MBA from Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland and his M.Sc from Cranfield University, Bedfordshire, UK. He is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Managers and a Member of The Institute of Asset Managers. He currently resides in the United Kingdom.

Jim Harbridge is a Senior Product Innovation manager at Hach, and has been with the company for 16 years serving in multiple R&D and product management roles. He was deeply involved in the development of the BW680, consulting and collaborating with many researchers, Ballast Water Treatment manufacturers, and regulators to achieve right balance of performance and simplicity for the system. Jim holds a PhD from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
Dr. Welschmeyer has been a full time teaching/research faculty member at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories since 1989. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of California, Berkeley (1974) and his Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from the University of Washington, Seattle WA (1982). He served as Assistant/Associate Professor at Harvard University (1982-1988 Oceanography) and as Senior Scientist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI, 1989-1991). He now serves as Lead Scientist for the Golden Bear Research Center (GBRC), a joint collaboration between the California Maritime Academy and Moss Landing Marine Laboratories; both are California State University campuses. GBRC is now engaged in research, development and testing in the area of ballast water management. Dr. Welschmeyer served as Advisor to the EPA Science Advisory Board on Ballast Water Management; he is a continuing member of the ballast water Technology Advisory Group (TAG) for the California State Lands Commission and a continuing member of the EPA/ETV Technical Panel for ballast water.
