The Art of Chloramine Production and Monitoring

Wed, Dec 14, 2022 1:00 PM EST

Summary:

Chloramine treatment has been around for decades to help with maintaining disinfectant residual in the distribution system while minimizing regulated disinfectant byproduct formation. This treatment has its benefits, but also comes with many challenges and relies on precise controls during treatment in order to minimize impacts within the distribution system, including nitrification. The course will be a back-to-basics, looking at chloramine formation basics as well as data collection and interpretation during both treatment and within the distribution system.
